Last night I returned to climbing for the first time in months. Running and biking have kept my legs healthy, but little twig arms did not serve well. All the technique in the world is not going to help me much on a fingery overhang. In january, I was climbing all 5.10 routes and the occasional 5.11a. Now I'm lucky to get a 5.9. Oy. I need my arm strength back and I need it now.
Most interesting new trend: the gym now contains "KF" (Kid Friendly) routes. Some of these contain "KO" (Kids Only) holds. whale_girl needs to come back and climb these so she can stop complaining about my height advantage.
