lego me

Remember, winter cyclists: your tires may read 140 PSI in the warm garage, but as soon as you start pedaling through subfreezing temperatures it will feel like you're on an underinflated BMX bike. Nonetheless, my route was the "hills of belmont leg training burnout", so I think that the lack of tire pressure just simulated steeper climbs. Call it a bonus.

The route also buzzed by every christmas tree sale in the northwestern suburbs, so I was treated to intermittent fresh-cut pine smells. If only every ride could be so evergreen.

sunflaregrrl gave me a high-visibility cycling shell for solstice and it rocks. My body core is toasty, even on a speedy downhill run with ample manufactured windchill.
