11:15 pm - 93 miles, 2 legs, no stopping

The ride out to Provincetown is my favorite long bike trip in Massachusetts. You don't get as many ocean views as one might expect on Cape Cod, but it's a real treat to return home by ferry. The ride, compressed into about a minute:

One day, and as much distance as an entire week of two-way commutes along the minuteman trail. When I reached the park in p-town, I collapsed onto the grass and stared at the sky for 10 minutes. Olympians may shrug at a constant 17 mph pace, but it was a new sustained record for my legs. The new bike gets most of the credit, as it is much zippier than the old tank. On the ferry ride back, minot light presented itself without the fog; it's still impressive.
