06:30 am - chemistry/stupidity
For years, I have been using the geeky "ch3cooh" tag to identify both alcohol-related writing here and music in iTunes. I have also been a profound dumbass. It turns out that CH3COOH is acetic acid, basically "vinegar". Ethanol, rather, is CH3CH2OH. Given the number of actual scientists I know, I can't believe I got away with this as long as I have. Must remember: ch3ch2oh. How did I end up making this mistake?
